Best Abroad Studies Scholarship Opportunities for Indian Students

Getting a scholarship as a student is a huge accomplishment, and getting one from a foreign country is even better. Many countries provide scholarships to Indian students based on a variety of criteria. In fact, the majority of scholarships are awarded for master's and doctoral programmes. In recent years, many scholarships have been awarded for undergraduate studies as well.

Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship - UK

Indian students can apply for the scholarships offered by the Commonwealth Scholarships Commission. Commonwealth offers the scholarships to Indian students who study in English and have a minimum of 60% in Social Sciences and Humanities or a minimum of 65 percent in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Agriculture. The scholarship will cover up to Rs. 32 lakhs in scholarship funds and covers tuition fee, economy class round trip travel, and living expenses.

Felix Scholarships - UK

The Felix Scholarship was created to assist deserving poor Indian students who wish to study a postgraduate degree in the United Kingdom. The applicant must have a first-class Bachelor's degree from an Indian university and be under the age of 30. A maximum of £71,700 will be awarded under this scholarship.

Tata Scholarship for Indian studies - Cornell University, USA

The Tata Education and Development Trust offers a Tata Scholarship to support about 20 Indian scholars in partnership with Cornell University. The Tata scholarship will be given out once a year and lasts for the duration of the recipient's undergraduate studies at Cornell University. The Tata Trust has given the university a $25 million endowment. Ratan Tata is a trustee of Cornell University. The Tata Group is India's oldest, largest, and most prestigious multinational corporation. The recipient must be an Indian citizen who has completed secondary school in India, be accepted as an undergraduate student at Cornell, and be eligible for need-based financial help.

Fulbright-Nehru Fellowships - United States

The United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF) offers Fulbright-Nehru Fellowships to Indian Master's degree applicants in subjects such as arts and culture, international legal studies, gender studies, public administration, urban and regional planning, and so on. It is offered to students who have finished four years of education and have worked for at least three years.Leadership abilities, community service, communication skills and other factors will be considered in the examination. Tuition, books, economy airfares and living expenses will all be paid by the fellowship.

Chevening Scholarships - United Kingdom

This fellowship is available to exceptional Indian students who wish to undertake a one-year postgraduate degree in any field at any UK university. The scheme is only open to graduates or postgraduates who intend to pursue a master's degree in the United Kingdom. He or she may also have worked for at least two years. Living expenses, transport costs to and from the UK, tuition fees,  and other allowances will be covered by the fund.

UBC International Leader of Tomorrow Award- British Columbia University, Canada

International students applying to undergraduate programmes at British Columbia University in Canada are eligible for the scholarship. To be qualified for the same, one must meet the program's prerequisites as well as the English language requirements, as well as provide all required documentation. This scholarship will cover tuition, living expenses, and additional financial assistance.

Melbourne - India PG Scholarship - Australia

International students interested in pursuing a full-time post - graduate programme at the University of Melbourne can apply for an International PG (Postgraduate) Scholarship. The scholarship is open to both graduates and students in many fields such as science, commerce, and the arts, and it is awarded on the basis of academic merit. It will cover up to $30,600 in annual living expenses and a $3000 relocation grant.

Australia Awards Scholarship

Australia scholarship is only available to undergraduate and postgraduate students from particular Indian universities. In addition, the applicant must be a recent graduate of the target university.Living expenses, tuition fees, return air ticket, and other expenses are covered by this scholarship.

The USA, UK and Europe - Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation Scholarships

It allows young people with exceptional talent in any subject to widen their horizons and enhance their skills for working in society by allowing them to travel abroad. University courses and specific programmes are the two types of scholarships available. All Indian citizens with a good first degree from an Indian university are eligible for the scholarships. They must be under 30 years old and have worked for at least two years.

Australian Embassy Fully Funded Scholarships

Students applying for Undergraduate, Masters, PhD, and MBA programmes at specified Australian universities are eligible for Australian Embassy scholarships. Any candidate who has received at least a 50% in their qualifying degree/exam are eligible to apply. The programme intends to cover costs such as four years of free education, weekly travel allowance, health insurance, and a family allowance for married candidates.
